Villa Medicea di Artimino, wedding in Carmignano

Veronica and Antonio

An enchanting and timeless wedding at the Villa Medicea di Artimino

On a warm and bright day in late May, Antonio and Veronica realized their dream by getting married in one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany.

The ‘Romanesque abbey that hosted the ceremony dates back to the first half of the 11th century, was established by the Benedictines and is located along the road that in the Middle Ages was an important link between Artimino and the lower Montalbano and the Empoli and Montelupo area.

A wonderful riot of white flowers framed the entrance and altar area. Waiting for the bride and groom at the end of the ceremony was a 1959 MG A Spider. What better way to run together toward this new beginning!

The reception was hosted at the Villa Medicea di Artimino, built in 1596 at the behest of Grand Duke Ferdinando I de ‘Medici, based on a design by Bernardo Buontalenti; its dominant position on the hillock that had already housed a sacred area in Etruscan times gives the whole setting a truly special aura.

Veronica and Antonio’s desire was to create an event where every detail was extremely well taken care of; they wanted the meticulousness of every choice to be perceived where nothing was excessive but rather balanced and elegant. This of aiming for the perfect balance between striving for perfection and recognizing the limit is a philosophy that has always been my hallmark and leads me to approach every challenge with this principle in mind.

I am convinced that only through this delicate balance can the highest levels of perfection be achieved, and that is exactly what happened during Veronica and Antonio’s unforgettable wedding.
